Bio:As a kid, I had a slew of different cameras. I followed my Mom when the develop-and-print-your-own B&W bug hit. Was quite into snow camping and hiking when I was in my late teens, but shot slide film at the time. Took a long hiatus while I was out in the corporate world. Bought my first digital camera when the Nikon CoolPix 5000 was released. Picked up the Canon Digital Rebel when it came out and learned quite a lot about digital workflow and technique. Recently upgraded to the XTi and love the improvements they've made. When I can do most of the types of things I want to with the new camera (and can afford to do so), I plan to upgrade again -- next time to a model with a full-sized sensor. If you're on the fence about joining a photo web community, this is a terrific site and I recommend it wholeheartedly. There's a great group of people here!
