  1. How do I recieve forum response messages?
    1. Login to the website and goto "My Home" on the top menu bar.
    2. Under "Manage Account" click "Update Account Info".
    3. Verify that your email address is correct and check "Email opt-in".
    4. Click "Done".
    Note If you still do not recieve the messages you probably have a SPAM bolker that is catching the messages.

  2. How do I verify my email address?
    1. Login to the website and goto "My Home" on the top menu bar.
    2. Under "Manage Account" click "Verify Email Address".
    3. Verify that your email address is correct and click "Send Email"
    Note If you change your email address you will have to reverify it.

  3. Someone is rating my photos 1's or 2's?
    The rating system was designed from day 1 to compensate for abusive users. Even if your photo got a 1 or 2 and that user consistently rates photos low it does not bring down your average rating.

  4. How does the Photo of the Day Contest work?
    1. Entering the POTD Contest
        a) When you enter the contest your photo is entered in tomorrows contest, NOT today’s.
        b) A photo can only be entered once (ever) into the POTD Contest.
        c) Each service level has a daily limit, detailed on the
    Member Benefits page.
        d) As of July 1, 2004 you will only be able to enter recently upload photos into the POTD Contest.
    2. Rating Photo’s in the POTD Contest
        a) You CANNOT browse the POTD Contest like the Monthly Contest.
        b) You will only see photos that you have not already rated.
        c) You will NOT see your own photos in the contest. (Can’t rate your own photos)
    3. POTD Winners
        a) Today’s winner on the home page is from yesterdays voting.

  5. Why can't I enter a photo in the Contest?
    Your account is probably "Service Level 1" goto "My Home" page and upgrade your account. There are several different levels of FotoFanatic.com membership.

  6. How do I upload a photo?
    1. Login to the website and goto "My Home" on the top menu bar.
    2. Under "Manage Photos" click "Upload Single Photo".
    3. Click the "Browse" button and select you photo.
    4. Fill in the caption and optionally a description and click Upload.
    5. You will get a success page upon successful upload.

  7. How do I enter a photo into a contest/collection/critique category?
    1. Login to the website and goto "My Home" on the top menu bar.
    2. Under "Manage Photos" click "Photo Administration".
    3. Find desired photo and click "Photo Info"
    4. To enter a contest choose a category under "Contest Info" and click "Add"
    5. To add a photo to a collection click "Add photo to a Collection" under "Collections Info"
    6. To add a photo to the Photo of the Day Contest. Click "Add photo " under "Photo of the Day Info"
    7. To add a photo to the Photo Critique section. Click "Submit to photo critique" under "Forums Info"

  8. I forgot my password. Now what do I do?
    Select the Log In page from the Top Menu, and choose the Forgot My Password link. You can then opt to have your password either displayed on the screen or sent to you via email. Once you receive your password, you can then re-log-in and start enjoying your member benefits.


  9. How is payment handled for membership and how are prizes paid?
    FotoFanatics uses PayPal for all our payment services, including member payments and prize pay-outs. For information on PayPal, please visit our PayPal information page.


  10. Do you screen our photos?
    FotoFanatic.com does screen photos for appropriateness within 24 hours of upload. We reserve the right to remove any photo that we deem to be unacceptable for viewing. For more information, see our Rules and Regulations page.


  11. I want to change my service level. How do I do that?
    At this time, all service level change requests must be directed to our customer service department. Please use the Contact Us area to send us an e-mail requesting your change. We will take it from them and make your requested changes.


  12. How do I contact this site?
    To get additional information on FotoFanatic.com, or if you experience any difficulty uploading your photos, please contact us via this form.
    Contact Customer Service We make every effort to get back to you in a timely fashion, and hope you will also use this email address to offer suggestions on ways we can improve the site.

  13. How do Participation Points work?
    After a user is logged in and participating in different features, they are earning points. These points are recalculated once per day, based on the last three months of activity. Periods of inactivity will cause your points to go down. I will not go into detail about how points are earned to minimize abuse.
